Tyumen Interuniversity Campus
About the campus
The federal project “Creating a Network of Modern Campuses” is a large-scale initiative that has been part of the national project “Youth and Children” since 2025
Integration into the natural landscape
The campus's visual identity is inspired by water. For example, the 12-story faculty hotel is styled as a lighthouse, symbolizing a beacon in science and education. A harbor with a pier for river trams is also planned, emphasizing the connection with the Tura River.
Water theme
The campus is located on the shore of Lake Krugloye and borders Gagarin Forest Park. The architecture blends harmoniously with the environment, preserving natural areas and creating a comfortable setting for study and recreation.
Eco-friendliness and sustainable development
Construction uses energy-efficient technologies, green materials, and smart resource management systems. The campus will feature a suspended eco-trail — the longest in Russia — as well as pedestrian alleys connecting academic buildings and recreation areas.
Multifunctional spaces
All buildings are connected by heated walkways, ensuring convenient movement in any season. The architecture combines academic, research, sports, and cultural zones, creating a "city within a city" for students and faculty.
The Tyumen world-class interuniversity campus is being created as a unique research and educational cluster combining modern architecture, eco-friendliness, and functionality. The project was developed taking into account the best world practices and the active participation of students, faculty, and city residents.

The campus is intended
1
For business — an opportunity to test technologies and find promising talent.
3
For scientists — a platform for interdisciplinary projects and applied developments.
2
For students — a place for study, research, startups, and extracurricular activities.
4
For city residents — open lectures, exhibitions, sports and cultural events.
The campus will become a new symbol of Tyumen — a city where innovations are born and the future of Russian science takes shape!
Campus goals and objectives
A new framework for the city
Integrating the campus into the urban environment as a center of attraction for science, education, and public life. Developing infrastructure and forming a new cultural and business cluster by the Tura River
A connecting element of the region's scientific and technological agenda
Implementing Russia's scientific and technological development strategy. Training 600 technology entrepreneurs by 2030. Commercializing 30+ student startups annually. Bringing 5 developments to TRL 7-9 (readiness for production). Contributing 2% to the region's GRP through scientific and technological projects.
A mechanism for international promotion
Uniting universities, research centers, and industry into a single innovation system. Developing the region's four main specializations. Creating 15 laboratories with the participation of industrial partners.
An instrument of the Scientific and Technological Development Strategy of the Russian Federation
Positioning Tyumen as a center of international education and science. Attracting 300+ foreign students by 2030. Implementing joint programs with universities in Asia and BRICS. Promoting Tyumen companies' technological solutions on global markets and participating in the region's export strategy (educational and scientific services).
